Second add-on to Gearbox's postapocalyptic RPG-shooter includes newborn "Smash TV" mode, slope storage, power points; 360 edition cod Dec. 29, PS3 Jan. 7; PC TBA.
Yesterday, Gearbox Software complete the first round of downloadable noesis for its postapocalyptic role-playing expert Borderlands, launching the PC edition of The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. Today, 2K Games and Gearbox returned with more news concerning Borderlands DLC, announcing that the ordinal add-on pack, named Mad MoxxiÂ's Underdome Riot, module hit Xbox Live on Dec 29, with the PlayStation Network edition mass on January 7.
Whereas The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned swollen Borderlands' plot by adding in an abundance of zombies, Mad MoxxiÂ's Underdome Riot adds in a newborn activity gameplay mode. Available for both single-player and synergetic action, Riot Mode features three arenas in which gamers grappling soured against increasingly frenetic waves of enemies.
"This is an entirely newborn mettlesome mode," said Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford in a statement. "Think ODST's 'Firefight' or Gears of War's 'Horde Mode' [with] cash, prizes and competition. It's same Smash TV in coop FPS, but in the Borderlands."
Mad Moxxi's a taste of a softy.
The add-on arrange also introduces a newborn slope mechanic for storing found objects, as substantially as the possibleness to take digit newborn power points as quest rewards.
